Dr. Terrence Harewood (he/him/his) is Vice President of Learning and Innovation for The Winters Group, Inc., and an experienced diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice (DEIJ) executive coach, master facilitator, and co-founder and principal visionary obstetrician at Synergistic Transformations, LLC. He has earned several coveted awards for his skillful DEIJ facilitation. These include the 2018 IDI Intercultural Competence Award and the 2011 Teacher of the Year Award from the University of Indianapolis, where he served as a professor of multicultural education, teaching courses related to culture, educational leadership, and civil rights for almost two decades. In addition to his teaching, coaching, and training experiences, Dr. Harewood is an Intercultural Development Inventory Qualified Administrator and one of 15 select international IDI Qualifying Seminar Facilitators. A native of Barbados, West Indies, he has engaged his extensive DEIJ expertise globally, including in corporate, education, government, and nonprofit sectors. Dr. Harewood is also co-author of a forthcoming book entitled Intercultural Learning from the Inside Out, designed to help higher education faculty and staff effectively facilitate intercultural experiential learning through a four-phased developmental approach.
