FAQs

We are working to make The 2023 Racial Justice at Work Summit as inclusive and accessible as possible. Welcome to our virtual event hub. This is a virtual space where you can access all live and pre-recorded sessions, meet our speakers and sponsors, and connect with other attendees. This will be your central point for both days of the live summit and for accessing the recorded content, which will be available to you from February 27, 2023, until May 31, 2023.

How to Access Live Sessions

You will see an agenda at the top of this page that lists all upcoming live and pre-recorded sessions.  To access, just click “view session” and you will see the link to attend. You can also access sessions through a calendar invite. If you downloaded any of the session links to your calendar through an email or through the agenda, you can use the meeting location link to access the session.

Live Sessions

If you arrive early for a session, you will hang out in the waiting room. Once the session begins, you will automatically be taken out of the waiting room and redirected to a separate Zoom tab in your browser. You will arrive to sessions automatically muted. We will have our speakers, as well as an American Sign Language (ASL) interpreter, spotlighted. Once the session ends, just close the Zoom tab and come back here to the event hub to get the link to your next session. (You can always keep using your calendar invite links as well!)

LIVE Session Interaction

During live sessions, we encourage you to continue the conversation through chat. If you have questions for the speakers or you need technical help, enter those into the separate Q&A tab. Time permitting, we will answer as many questions as we can.

All of the live sessions are being recorded, and they will be available in the event hub from February 27, 2023, until May 31, 2023. This means if you are called on and choose to be on camera while asking a question, or you participate in the chat or participate in the Q&A, your likeness and words might possibly be recorded and visible to other attendees.

Pre-Recorded Sessions

Pre-recorded sessions stay within the event hub and are not connected to Zoom. Simply click “view session” and once complete you will be returned back to the event hub.

Accessing Your Copy of Racial Justice at Work: Practical Solutions for Systemic Change

All registered attendees will receive a digital copy of The Winters Group’s new book Racial Justice at Work: Practical Solutions for Systemic Change. The book releases on February 14, so we are unable to send it out in advance of the summit. You will receive an email with a link to download your digital copy on Day 1 of the summit. Downloads are only available until May 31, 2023. So, please make sure you download before the link expires.

Technical Support

If you need technical assistance during the summit, you can privately message anyone from The Winters Group, Inc., in the Q&A tab during any live session, or you can send an email to summit@wintersgroup.com, and we will respond to you as soon as possible.

Accessibility

All live sessions will feature ASL interpretation and all pre-recorded sessions will feature English subtitles.

Giveaways

At the end of each day, we've set aside time to hand out some swag from The Winters Group to celebrate the release of the book. Items up for grabs might include signed copies of Mary-Frances Winters’ books, Intercultural Development Inventory® (IDI®) assessments, one-on-one coaching, and more. You must be present to win, and we will be randomly selecting the winners from the list of registered attendees.

Networking

The summit will conclude each day with space set aside for networking. We truly believe that to be successful in the work we do requires a strong community. We encourage attendees to stick around and network with our speakers and be in community with each other. The format for the networking will be open dialogue. We'll continue the conversation that was started during the day's sessions, and open it up for community conversation.

Community Agreements

We are intentionally creating a space of respect and belonging.  We ask all attendees to commit to the following agreements: centering the experiences of those most impacted, choosing curiosity over judgment, model authenticity and vulnerability, recognize the limitations of our own lens, state our intentions and own our impact, and speak from the "I" and not the "we".  We reserve the right to censure or remove people who are causing harm.

Post-Event Access

All of our live and pre-recorded sessions will be available for post-event access in the event hub. Access is valid between February 27, 2023, through May 31, 2023, for registered attendees only.  Logins may not be shared and copies of the presentations will also not be shared.
