Alexandra Williams is an undergraduate student at Mississippi State University triple-majoring in Political Science, History, and Liberal Arts (International Studies Concentration, French Language) with a minor in Pre-Law Studies. She is passionate about civic engagement, human rights, and global democratization policy, and has devoted much of her time to initiatives that empower students to participate fully in their communities. Through her university, she spent a term studying International Public Law at the University of Oxford, focusing on the ECtHR and global human rights frameworks.
Alexandra works as an undergraduate research assistant at the Stennis Institute of Government, and her honors thesis examines how identity and economic divides shape voter support for government redistribution in Mississippi. She currently leads efforts to reform university policies to protect student voters, has worked on local political campaigns and voter mobilization projects, and serves as Chief Justice of the MSU Student Association and President of the Stennis Institute's nonpartisan political service organization, the Stennis Montgomery Association. After graduation, she intends to pursue an M.A. in International Relations and a J.D., focusing on international law, human rights, and democratic engagement to strengthen global governance institutions and expand rights protections worldwide.
