In ancient times, early settlements were built around water sources. As our human ancestors sought safe drinking water, they began digging wells. Well water became the preferred means to collect safe drinking water for communities. But more than providing water for the body alone, wells were nurturing for the soul. They were gathering places, especially for women, to be in community with one another. Relationships were built and forged at the well. Using this metaphor as inspiration, this session invites all to gather around a virtual well at the Racial Justice at Work Summit: Justice for All. This session is an opportunity to be in community, to pause and center our whole selves, and to fill our cups.
