Addressing entitlement, collective misunderstandings, deep-rooted racial insecurities, and repressed trauma, this session aims to challenge participants to confront whiteness directly. It will provide a space for the necessary and challenging conversations surrounding complicity in maintaining the status quo. Drawing on insights from David Goldenkranz’s recent book, White Male Privilege: How This Happened and Why It's Even Worse than We Thought, I will offer an overview of what whiteness is, how it functions, and the role it plays in sustaining the current hierarchy and racial caste system. This won't be a sit-and-get session; instead, participants will have the opportunity to engage in small group discussions, encouraging them to openly explore and unpack the ways in which whiteness has influenced their understanding of themselves and the world.
