Adrienne Morgan, Ph.D., is vice president for equity and inclusion & Richard Feldman Chief Diversity Officer at the University of Rochester. She is also vice dean for equity and inclusion at
the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry. Dr. Morgan is an associate professor in the Department of Health Humanities and Bioethics in the Medical Center. She is also an associate professor at the Warner School of Education and the School of Nursing. In her role as Chief Diversity Officer, Dr. Morgan ensures equity across the institution; fosters a culture of respect and inclusion for all faculty, staff, students, alumni, and members of the community; oversees compliance in this area; and advocates for the role that diversity and equity initiatives play in achieving institutional excellence.

In addition, she serves as senior adviser on equity and diversity matters to the president, provost, and other University officers and is a member of the president’s senior leadership group. Dr.
Morgan brings more than 20 years of experience in equity and inclusion to her roles. At the Medical Center, she led the values-driven development of the Equity and Anti-Racism Action Plan (https://www.urmc.rochester.edu/equity-antiracism-action-plan.aspx). She was also instrumental in launching Live the Six (https://www.rochester.edu/live-the-six/)—an institution-wide, six-word anti-racism and kindness initiative in response to the hate crime murders at the Tops Supermarket in Buffalo in 2022.
