Reena A. Patel is a compassionate educational equity practitioner, human rights advocate, storyteller, and poet. She is a member of her local Human Rights Commission, the Massachusetts Human Rights Coalition, and serves on the board of Saheli- a culturally responsive non-profit serving South Asian and Arab domestic violence survivors. Her poetry, stories, and international publications speak to social justice, South Asian sisterhood, decolonization, enthusiastic consent, intersectional feminism, and liberation. She is completing a M.Ed. in Educational Leadership and Policy with social justice certification at Boston College next month and is working as a compassionate equity consultant with communities and schools throughout Massachusetts.
