There are now five generations present in the workplace. With this comes the benefit of diverse perspectives, knowledge sharing, and innovation. Multigenerational teams also appeal to a broader range of customers, as employees can relate to different demographics. However, in today’s corporate climate, leaders are facing numerous challenges managing teams with staff from varying generations. Challenges such as differing work styles and values, work-life balance expectations, and age-based biases can stifle collaboration. The generational gap poses considerable challenges in establishing high performing unified teams. We will introduce strategic approaches to overcoming the challenges and leveraging the benefits of a diverse workplace to create a respectful, inclusive environment. We will explore the commonalities across generations that are often overlooked as a means to find unity. We will help bridge the gap to improve organizational culture, work relationships and overall success.
