Over the past decade, various forms of technology have infused themselves into all aspects of talent management. Social media and artificial intelligence (AI) have particularly begun to assume roles previously dependent upon human decision-making. But does this leave us more or less susceptible to bias?

Based on new research for a book coming out later this summer, we will discuss what the research is showing us about the impact of these technologies on decision-making, particularly on decisions that affect marginalized groups. We will explore how these technologies have the capacity to both create and mitigate bias, depending upon how we use them.
