Diane Burkholder (she/her) is the founder of The DB Approach, an anti-oppression consulting practice supporting organizations in advancing equity through strategic planning, facilitation, coaching, and training. With over 20 years of experience in equity-centered leadership and community organizing alongside academic roots in Sociology and Ethnic Studies, she brings a deep commitment to social justice into every space she partners with.
Diane’s work is informed by her lived experience as a Black, mixed-race, queer woman shaped by both Midwestern and Californian roots. Her leadership includes co-founding the Missouri HIV Justice Coalition, the Black United Leadership Initiative (BULI), and, most recently, Queermunity LB, a community space for Queer and Trans people of color aged 30+ in the South Bay / Los Angeles region. When not chasing sunsets, she answers to her cat, Rosa (Parks).
