In this session, we will leverage anthropological and ethnographic methodologies of (cross-cultural) storytelling to evoke empathy and impact social justice efforts. This talk leans into the human experience, to understand and reimagine systemic barriers to create behavior change. The presentation will include the historical context of storytelling, an introduction to Indigenous values, and actionable steps anyone can take to move forward empowered using their own story as inspiration. Participants will walk away with understanding why nuanced human experience is critical to doing the right thing in an inclusive society.
