While all levels can gain some knowledge and understanding in this workshop, it is designed to embolden primarily junior and mid-level Black women, fostering confidence in their inherent leadership skills. It offers an introspective journey into self-awareness, both personal and professional, while confronting the unique challenges faced by Black female leaders, including racism, microaggressions, and bias. Participants will engage in candid discussions about the dissonance between how they are perceived and their aspirational professional image. Practical strategies will be provided to navigate racially charged situations and interactions within the workplace. The workshop employs a dynamic, interactive format, utilizing case studies, empirical and psychological research data, and real-world scenarios to equip these emerging leaders with the tools needed for proactive career and self-development, steering them towards success.
