In this session, we will discuss the purpose of feedback, the research surrounding feedback, and learn skills to give equitable and quality feedback for minortized folks. Feedback is something that leaders think everyone should know how to do but it is rarely taught because many folks don't understand how feedback can be deeply rooted in our own biases. Building an inclusive culture means we must intentionally engage at every level. Part of engagement and experience for employees regardless of title, is feedback. Feedback cycles are often a place where unconscious, or implicit bias, can creep in, therefore, giving and receiving quality feedback is an equity issue.
