Cora is a trailblazing entrepreneur and fashion designer who overcame adversity to achieve success in the industry. After graduating from Waseda University in Tokyo, Japan & Antioch College in Yellow Springs, Ohio. She honed her skills in international trade with a focus on Asia before surviving a life threatening battle with head/neck and brain cancer in 2009. This experience fueled her passion for sustainability and creating a fashion line, leading to the founding and launch of Coradorables, a sustainable fashion brand known for its Hawai'i inspired mid-century modern Aloha wear.
Cora's talent and dedication caught the attention of major retailers like Hankyu Department stores, Saks Fifth Avenue and Bloomingdales and luxury resorts and cruise lines like Celebrity and The Four Seasons. Her designs have been featured in prestigious publications like Vogue, Elle, Tatler , propelling her brand to success in both domestic and international markets.
In addition to her accomplishments in the fashion industry, Cora has been recognized for her commitment to sustainability. 2024 National Retail Federations Small Business Champion, 2024 Hawaii Power Leader Award, 2024 Celebrity Cruise Lines Curator of Style, 2022 Harlem's Fashion Row top 50 designer.
Coradorables is Hawaii's first product based certified B corporation,sustainably manufactured and sourced in Honolulu, Hawaii. When you support Coradorables you are helping to support over 15 locally owned and women led businesses.
Cora is a member of NRF's Sustainability Council and the United Nations Global Compact, she continues to advocate for ethical and environmentally conscious practices within the fashion and entertainment worlds. Her efforts have been highlighted by Inc. magazine, Hello Alice and AEO works as well as taking the stage to speak at the Smithsonian African American museum further solidifying her reputation as a leader in the industry.
Cora is the proud mother of two beautiful daughters Izzabelle and Zoe, and the dedicated wife to her amazing Hawaiian husband Chris Chang. Together they have shared over 23 joyful years of love and partnership while living, working and thriving in the beautiful embrace of Hawaii.
